At our AGM’s, someone got the bright idea of using PPT to help keep everyone up to scratch with what was being talked about. But the worst thing you can do is have a bullet sheet, or batch of sheets and only repeat what’s on them! There’s no need for it and, as secretary, I have my back to the board, anyway.

The application is only as effective as the presenter! 🙂 I love PowerPoint – next slide!….Adrian

  3. Tom says:

@Adrian and Jen. Say the magic words. "I will be handing out copies of my slides so you don’t need to take notes (or pay attention)".

  4. Jen says:

I used to watch the slides and want to fall asleep. They didn’ need looking at! Now I’m secretary, I get away with not bothering as I have to type up the Meeting Min’s;-) Our Chairman does the PPT "thang"!
