Barack “Big Regulation” Obama taps Jeffrey “Big Wind” Immelt for high sounding economic advisory post

Fresh from   completely one-sided victory over the Mafia, Barack “Big Regulation” Obama tapped Jeffrey “Big Wind” Immelt, CEO of GE, to the newly named style over substance post as chair of the Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.  Immelt, a poster boy for corporate welfare, has been sucking up and promoting government subsidies for GE Windmills and Health Care products.

Taking over from the legendary CEO Jack Welsh, Immelt has managed to run down the GE stock price, need a government bailout for GE Capital and take NBC from 1st to Worst.

The best thing that could happen is if this panel never gets to meet its Chair or better yet never has a meeting.  Because if they do, hold on to the government wallet.

  1. John Erickson says:

Don’t forget the “welfare” program of the second engine for the new F-35 fighter, the so-called F136. The military isn’t interested, Congress doesn’t want it, but GE-led special interests are forcing it on the people. I’m all for competition, but when the people building something don’t WANT something you’re selling, don’t force it down their throats!
