Tom raked over coals for grousing about President Tweeting about Neil Armstrong’s Death

The condemnation of Tom has been heavy and constant since he groused that the President should not have issued a Twitter Tweet on the death of Neil Armstrong that was dutifully carried on the local news. America wants the Dinosaur Tom permanently banned to Jurassic Park.

Neil Armstrong was a self-effacing man who was a true pioneer of the modern era. His quote that the moon landing was a small step for man and a giant step for mankind inspired many. Rather than profiteer on his celebrity status as the first man on the moon, he took up a distinguished career as a Professor of engineering at the University of Cincinnati.

While fully Presidential statements are available, the 140 character or less Tweet is not adequate. Tweets are at best 24 monosyllabic words. Our biggest heroes deserve more.

Never mind, I need to get a Tweet out now that Snooki popped her baby. America deserves to know my reaction.

  1. Unfortunately, for the younger generation, Twitter is THE media. Look at it this way – at least folks our age know that the opposite of day is “NIGHT”, not “Nite”. And “ur” is an ancient Sumerian city, NOT a bloody contraction for “you, possessive”! So if you go to Jurassic Park, book a second seat, ’cause I’ll be there right by your side. We old farts gotta stick together, right? 😀
