U of Mizzou Administrators are nostalgic for the ’60s

University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe and Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin threw in the towel saying the situation at the University was not challenging enough.  Whinny photogenic students tricked out in matching t-shirts, a well-feed grad student on a hunger strike and a threatened revolt by a 4-5 football team that isn’t even Bowl Eligible were not enough to sharpen their administrative chops.

Both men were heard to grouse that this is too light weight as compared to the ’60s.  Where was the occupation of the Administration building?  Where were the sit-ins?  Where were the hostages?  Where were the non-negotiable demands?  Where were the bombs?  Where were the calls to burn this mother down?  Where were the police and National Guard.

Where were the calls for Free Speech?  Never mind.

Right, Give us the 60s.

  1. I think there are enough hipsters around willing to emulate the 60s. Where were they?
